FAQ
1. HOW DO I PICK MY FABRIC?
Fabric sourcing is part of the design process and one that begins once the order is placed. I will reach out to you after your order hits my que, and discuss your colors, ideas, patterns you like and don’t like, etc. I love when customers send me pictures of what they like so if you have ideas, email away!
2. WHAT IF I WANT TO LOOK AT FABRIC BEFORE I ORDER?
At the bottom of my web page, I have all my go-to fabric sites listed. You can start looking any time via those sites. I am not limited to those fabric lines. I can source anything, but those sites are the ones I have trade accounts with and can get wholesale prices on fabric, which helps to keep my prices lower than others in my industry.
3. WHAT IS DESIGNER FABRIC VS. STANDARD FABRIC?
The majority of good quality upholstery fabrics are around $100 a yard. All products from Kelly Kate Design, are priced to include the cost of fabric that’s in the $100.00 a yard ball park. This means, when we start your fabric selection, I will only show you fabrics within this price range.
If you feel that this is too limiting, and you would like to see all the options, you can upgrade to the “designer fabric” line. This is for people that are willing to spend over $200 a yard on fabric.
4. DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR FABRIC WHEN I PLACE MY ORDER?
No. If you would like to provide your own fabric, or pay for fabric after you place the original order, you can purchase an item that is marked as “COM.” This means “customer owned material.” I will send you an invoice for fabric once you make your selection.

6. WHEN WILL I GET MY ITEM?
Production time begins when you finalize your design and pick your fabric. Most items take 4-6 weeks to get to you from the time you pick your fabric.
7. WHY DOES IT TAKE SO LONG?
It takes at least 2 weeks for fabrics to arrive after purchase. I have multiple orders at all times so your order will start when fabric arrives and when it’s your turn in my production que. Sometimes, a customers fabric will arrive quickly and I am able to move them up ahead of customers who ordered before them due to product availability. Sometimes fabrics are back ordered and take weeks to arrive. I will always let you know if your item is going to move beyond that 4-6 week timeline.
I promise you, I am working day and night to get orders out. I personally hate waiting for items after I buy them, so I get it! But please give me some leeway on the timeline as I am at the mercy of my carpenters, fabric delivery and shipping times.
